it's been about a year now
since the day i told you how i felt
i told you what i thot of you and how you made my heart melt
it began as an online thing
cuz we lived so far away
it seemed like you always knew the right things to say.

a year has passed so quickly
i didn't see it coming
but at the time i felt dat it was only you that i was loving
it's true relationships are always best right at the beginning
everything's so new you don't know where you'll be heading
but somewhere along the road we took a wrong turn
cuz soon i began to realize wha we had i did not yearn.

a year ago you were mine
but now things have changed
we've both moved on
and i feel no more rage.
thankfully we're still friends
you know that's very rare,
to have an ex-boifren that after everything that's happened still has the heart to care.
